The brands exclusively imported and distributed by Importante in Australia and New Zealand are:
* La Bottega di Brunella – Established in the beautiful Amalfi Coast region of southern Italy, La Bottega di Brunella has been creating one-of-a-kind linen collections since 1965. The brand’s success and its continuous production can be attributed to founders Vito and Brunella, who have passed on their passion and traditional looming techniques to their sons and daughters. La Bottega di Brunella pieces are made entirely in-house – from yarn to garment – by a team of fashion designers, patternmakers and crafters. The label’s timeless designs and intricate woven fabrics are made to be worn and cherished for years to come.
* Inkolives Denim and Sandals – The Inkolives collection was conceived from the perfect marriage between premium quality jeans , artisanal made sandals and unique linen. Inkolives jeans are designed and made by a team of artisans in Italy, creating the quintessential everyday look with La Bottega di Brunella linen tops. Made with soft cottons and a hint of stretch, the designs are comfortable and fitted in all the right areas – there is a style to flatter every body type.
The sandals are handmade in Naples still using traditional methods of the local artisans in quality leather, cord and linen, creating comfortable and unique designs.
* Mulberry Mongoose – This exquisite jewellery label is inspired by life in the Zambian bush and handcrafted by local women. Its most celebrated collection is made using snare wire removed from snare sets and cut free from wounded animals during anti-poaching patrols in South Luangwa. Other locally-sourced materials turned into jewellery include hand-carved wooden beads, freshwater pearls and vintage coins picked up from Zambian markets. Mulberry Mongoose plays an important role in supporting local craftswomen and their families while preserving the unique place that inspires their work.
* PESCI CHE VOLANO – Simply a unique collection of bronze jewellery handcrafted in Florence. Pesci che Volano collection is handmade with the very ancient process of lost wax casting. The melted metal is cast into the imprint that remains into a plaster wrap after prototype liquefaction. These samples, and also the waxes reproduced in mold (but never identical as retouched by hand) are therefore “lost” and not replicable. This technique, added to the type of manual workmanship, is the essential value of each piece.
